Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use Base.

These Terms of Service describe how Base can be used, how subscriptions work, and the legal defaults that apply to the website and product. They are starter SaaS terms for the current independently operated version of Base.

Service overview and acceptance

Base is a software product for solo builders that combines tasks, notes, saved links, lightweight project scope, and paid-plan billing in one workspace.

By accessing the website, creating an account, or using the product, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for the account you use to access Base and for the activity that happens under that account.

  • Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful activity, abusive behavior, spam, or attempts to interfere with the product or other users.
  • Do not probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass limits, authentication, or billing controls except as permitted by law.
  • You are responsible for the content you create, upload, save, or link inside your workspace.

Free and Pro plans

Base currently offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier.

The free tier is intentionally limited and currently includes up to 2 active projects, 50 open tasks, 25 notes, and 25 saved links. Pro currently costs $2.99/mo and unlocks the full paid feature set described on the website and in the product.

Features, limits, and pricing may evolve over time. Material changes will be reflected in the product or on the website.

Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds

If you subscribe to Pro, you authorize the applicable third-party billing provider to charge the subscription price, taxes, and any related fees for your selected plan.

Subscriptions renew according to the billing cadence shown at checkout unless you cancel before the next renewal date.

You can cancel at any time through the billing portal or other billing controls made available inside the product. Cancellation stops future renewals and preserves access through the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and Base does not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods by default.

Your content and Base intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you create in your workspace. You grant Base the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, and display that content for the purpose of operating the service.

The Base website, product design, software, branding, and related materials remain the property of the operator of Base or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

Service availability and warranty disclaimer

Base is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The product may change, be interrupted, or include bugs from time to time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Base disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Base will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Base for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Base for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Suspension, termination, and changes

Base may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if use of the service creates risk for the product or others, or if the product is discontinued.

Base may update these terms from time to time. When the changes are material, the updated terms will be posted on the website with a new last-updated date.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have questions about these terms, contact hi@itzsudhan.com.
