Who this policy covers

Base is an independently operated software product for solo builders. This Privacy Policy explains what information Base collects, how that information is used, and the choices you have when you use the marketing site, create an account, or use the authenticated workspace.

Base is built to keep tasks, notes, saved links, project scope, and billing status in one product. This policy is written for the current product setup and may be updated as the service changes.

Information Base collects

Base collects the information needed to run the product, secure accounts, and deliver the paid plan.

  • Account information such as your email address, name, and profile image when you sign in with a magic link or GitHub.
  • Workspace content you create inside the product, including tasks, notes, saved links, projects, tags, and related metadata.
  • Billing-related records such as plan tier, checkout status, customer identifiers, and subscription identifiers needed to provide Pro access.
  • Technical and product-usage information such as session state, theme preference, selected project scope, basic request metadata, and error/debug information needed to keep the app functioning.

How Base uses information

Base uses the information it collects to operate the product, keep accounts secure, and improve reliability.

  • Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
  • Store and sync the tasks, notes, links, and project data you create.
  • Enforce free-plan limits and unlock Pro features after successful billing events.
  • Send sign-in emails and other account-related product messages.
  • Diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and maintain the security and stability of the service.
  • Communicate with you when you contact support or request privacy help.

Payments and third-party services

Base relies on third-party providers that are already part of the product stack. Those providers process data only to the extent needed for their role in the service.

  • Creem handles checkout, subscription management, and payment processing for Pro. Full payment-card details are handled by Creem, not stored directly by Base.
  • GitHub may provide account identity data when you choose GitHub sign-in.
  • Resend or your configured SMTP provider may be used to deliver magic-link emails.
  • Neon Postgres stores account and workspace data for the application database.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical request data needed to run and secure the app.

Cookies, local storage, and session behavior

Base uses the browser storage and session mechanisms required to make the product work as expected.

  • Authentication cookies and session state are used so you can sign in and stay signed in.
  • Theme preference may be stored so the app can remember your light or dark setting.
  • Local browser storage may be used to preserve workspace state, optimistic UI state, and recent product context on your device.
  • These technologies are used for product functionality, not to sell personal data or run ad-tracking profiles.

When information may be shared

Base does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only in limited situations tied to running the product or meeting legal obligations.

  • With service providers that help operate authentication, email delivery, database storage, billing, and hosting.
  • If disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce the Terms of Service, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Base, its users, or the public.
  • As part of a business transfer involving the product, if the service is sold or reorganized.

Retention and security

Base keeps account and workspace information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect the information stored by Base, but no system can promise absolute security.

Your choices and contact

You can stop using Base at any time. If you want to ask about your data, request deletion, or raise a privacy question, contact hi@itzsudhan.com.

Because Base is an independently operated product, privacy requests are handled directly through that contact path rather than through a separate corporate privacy office.
